After-hours electrical desk
After-hours electrical calls, triaged before they wake the wrong tech.
Outage, breaker, burning smell, or a light that can wait until morning. The configured workflow asks intake questions, records the report, and applies your routing rules. Enso is not an emergency service.

Common after-hours intake gaps
- Every after-hours call gets treated as an emergency, or none of them do.
- Nobody asks about smoke, water near power, or someone stuck in an elevator.
- The tech arrives not knowing the panel location or what was running when it tripped.
Configured intake examples: Partial or full outage · Breaker trip · Burning smell / scorch · Parking-lot lighting · Access-control power · Generator
What Enso asks
Example intake questions for a configured electrical workflow. Your routing rules determine the next step.
- 01Site and panel location
- 02Whole building or one area?
- 03Burning smell, smoke, or visible damage?
- 04Is anyone stuck in an elevator or behind powered door hardware?
- 05Last thing that was on?
- 06After-hours access to the electrical room
Routing rules you configure
Smoke, fire, someone trapped, or immediate danger → contact emergency services first; a configured Enso rule can also queue an on-call notification.
Single circuit or lighting → tag for office follow-up, unless your configured rule treats the site differently.
Enso does not replace 911 or emergency responders and does not tell occupants to reset breakers in a flood or fire situation. It records the report and can queue a configured notification.
Client: “Half the second floor lost power at the Rowan Street office.”
Enso: Records an electrical work order, checks for smoke or burning smell and anyone stuck, asks what was running when it tripped, and applies the configured routing rule.

Electrical after-hours questions
- Who answers my electrical line after hours?
- Once your Enso number and forwarding are activated, the configured workflow can answer and ask for the site and panel location, affected area, burning smell or visible damage, whether anyone is stuck, and what was last running.
- How does an emergency electrical call get escalated?
- Callers facing smoke, fire, someone trapped, or immediate danger should contact emergency services. Separately, your configured rule can flag the Enso work order and queue a notification to an opted-in named contact. Delivery and a technician response are not guaranteed.
- Will it tell someone to reset a breaker?
- No. Enso does not talk an occupant through resetting a breaker in a flood or fire situation. The configured workflow records the details, advises use of emergency services when appropriate, and can queue a notification under your rules.
- Can it handle a generator or parking-lot lighting call?
- They can be included in the electrical intake you configure. The work order can then be tagged for staff review or an opted-in on-call notification under your rules; Enso does not schedule the visit automatically.
